    Objective Performance Standards

    2023-24 School Year

     

    Below are the agreed upon objective performance standards used as a basis for assessing the performance of Superintendent Lisa M. Murgas in the areas of Student Growth and Achievement: Organizational Leadership; District Operations and Financial Management; Communication and Community Relations.  This evaluation tool was agreed upon by the Williamsburg Community School District and Lisa M. Murgas.

    Student Growth and Achievement
    The Superintendent will use multiple data sources to assess student success and growth as appropriate, specific to needs within the District and as determined annually in collaboration with the board of school directors.  Annual or other district performance objectives will be articulated and clearly achieved under the direction of the Superintendent relative to PSSA, PVAAS, and other locally determined measures.

    Organizational Leadership
    The Superintendent will work collaboratively with the Board to develop a vision for the District, display an ability to identify and rectify problems affecting the District, work collaboratively with district administration to ensure the best practices for instruction, supervision, curriculum development, and management are being utilized, and work to influence the climate and culture of the District.

    District Operations and Financial Management
    The Superintendent will manage effectively, ensuring the completion of activities associated with the annual budget; oversee distribution of resources in support of district priorities; and direct overall operational activities within the District.

    Communication and Community Relations
    The Superintendent will communicate with and effectively engage the staff, board, and members of the community, clearly articulating district goals and priorities, addressing local and broader issues affecting the District, and build support for district initiatives, programs and short/long-range plans.
