Williamsburg Community School District
Board of Directors
The Williamsburg Community School Board is a legislative body of citizens called school directors who are elected locally by their fellow citizens who serve as agents of the state legislature. The board consists of nine members who serve four-year terms of office without pay. They are designated by school law to administer the school system and are charged with providing quality education for the youth of our community.
Members are elected for a four-year term, with the election process calling for five members being eligible for re-election during one election cycle and four being eligible in the next cycle. This 5-4 rotation eliminates having nine new members on a school board and helps ensure consistency and continuity.
The Williamsburg Community School Board regular meeting schedule is as follows:
7:00 PM, 3rd Tuesday of each month - Work Session (review and discuss agenda items).
7:30 PM, 3rd Tuesday of each month - Board Meeting (discuss and take action on agenda items).
Meetings are held in the High School Library. Meetings are open to the public and time is set-aside for public input at both meetings. Exceptions to the regular schedule do occur, so please check the Board Meeting Dates link to get the most current schedule.
